Within each of us, the sacred elements of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire dance and interact, shaping our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experiences.
When these elements are out of harmony, we may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from our true self, our purpose, and the greater universe. However, when the elements within us – Earth, Water, Air, and Fire – are harmonised and balanced, they create a solid foundation for our spirit to flow and express itself powerfully and freely.

8 Easy Steps
Before You Begin
Affirm Your Magickal Intent
“To harmonise the elemental forces of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Quintessence within me so my spirit may flow freely and powerfully, bringing me into deeper alignment with my true self and my destiny.”
Then Begin Your Preparation
Depending on the space you have on your alter you can choose to place the five elemental anointing oils in a line (OPTION A) or, if space allows, in a star shape (OPTION B).
ANOINTING OIL PLACEMENT OPTION A:
- Line up the five elemental anointing oils in a line from left to right: Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Quintessence
- Place the five small dishes in front of each elemental anointing oil.

- Place the five elemental anointing oils in a shape of a five-pointed star – see image
- Place the five small dishes in front of each elemental anointing oil
Note:
- If you are using a candle, place it in the centre of the altar and light it.
- If you are using items to represent elements,place them near each respective elemental anointing oil.

Holy Water
Cleanse, Prepare and Open Your Magickal Space
- Sprinkle Porta Alchémica® Holy Water around you, in the four corners, or flick your fingertips from a small dish to purify and consecrate the space.
- Say as you do so:
“I cleanse and sanctify with Holy Water, opening space for balance.”

Arrange Anointing Oils on the Altar
- Put 3 drops of each elemental anointing oil in each dedicated dish.
- Then say:
“Earth, water, air and fire, the pillars of creation that hold aloft the starry vault of heaven!”

Anoint Yourself With Earth Anointing Oil
- Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental earth anointing oil use your left index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental earth on the top of your right foot.

- Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental water anointing oil use your right index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental water on the back of your left hand.

Breath and Aura Mist
Declare Completion
- Say
“I am anointed with the creative powers of the universe.”
- Spray the Porta Alchémica® Aura Mist in a triangular shape above your head, shoulders, and over your heart as a final sealing:
- First, spray above the top of your head.
- Then, spray above the right shoulder.
- Next, spray above the left shoulder.
- Say as you do so:
“I lock in balance.
Ita Est! (It is so.)”
Your Balance Ritual is now complete.

After the Ritual

Alternatively, use the Balance Ritual whenever you feel the need to reconnect with your elemental nature and restore inner equilibrium.
The Balance Ritual is designed with Porta Alchémica® anointing oils because they are precisely attuned to each elemental frequency, ensuring the highest magickal potency. While you can experiment with other oils, these formulations provide maximum magickal potency and magickal effectiveness of the Balance Ritual.
Consistency is key. While conducting the Balance Ritual once can bring about an immediate sense of harmony, true elemental balance is a state that is cultivated over time. Because you only use 3 drops of each oil per ritual, a set of the elemental oils can last you anywhere from several weeks to a few months, depending on how frequently you perform this practice.
Yes, you can. In fact, many of our ritual practitioners have an established daily practice of conducting multiple Astromagick rituals. There is no limit to how many rituals you can perform in a single session.
If, for example, you wish to call in love, attract wealth and prosperity, and contribute to global healing by performing a Protect the Forests or Protect the Bees ritual, you can conduct them one after another. You may use a single charcoal tablet and simply continue through each ritual until you have completed your final working for the day.
Conducting four or five rituals in this way often takes only 10–15 minutes and is a very efficient and effective way to ‘pack’ more magick into your day.
You are a multidimensional, multifaceted spiritual being. It is natural to wish to manifest or transform more than one area of your life.
